As the Sr. Cloud Systems Engineer, you will use your technical knowledge and experience to lead the operation, maintenance and performance of IEEE cloud environments; reviewing physical architecture designs of software applications to ensure they operate in accordance to availability and performance specifications.
As a member of our dynamic IT Strategy and Enabling Technologies (ITSET) team, you will be afforded the opportunity to broaden your professional horizon by participating in technology-driven innovation, workplace digitalization, mobile presence enablement, enterprise architecture, and technology standardization/rationalization activities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or engineering field
* 4-7 years of Cloud and system engineering experience
* 4-7 years of general programming and systems administration experience
* Ability to identify and troubleshoot the source of poor application performance at the network, OS and application layers
* Strong Unix system administration skills
* Knowledge of Wily Introscope, Compuware or other monitoring utilities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to engage in spontaneous brainstorming sessions with technical peers
* Proficient writing and presentation skills
* Ability to understand and interpret technical documents
